BOOK DESIGN
CONCEPT / ART DIRECTION / DESIGN / TYPOGRAPHY
I developed a unique approach for a human body book, shifting away from the traditional approach to explore the subject from Dr. Frankenstein’s perspective. Readers would learn about human anatomy and physiology as they followed Dr. Frankenstein on his journey to build his creature. To enhance the book’s impact, I collaborated with the production team to create an unconventional 96-page book with a 40mm spine, giving it a striking presence on the shelf and a distinctive feel.
The cover design further elevated the gift-like quality, featuring silver foil debossing and a depth lenticular that made it appear as though the heart was encased within the book itself. We completed the look with black-sprayed edges, creating a visually captivating and immersive experience for readers.
