Originating the concept as part of a groundbreaking initiative in the children's division. After the success of the project at the book Bologna Bookfair, where we received the green light to proceed, I worked collaboratively with designers, illustrators, and editors to bring the book to life. This initiative introduced an innovative design and editorial approach, pushing the boundaries of what a children's book could offer.
Working closely with production, I helped prototype the packaging, which included five-color printing over foil and the integration of a magnetic closing device, adding a premium feel to the final product. The concept was further elevated by packaging the book inside a custom box.
The PLC cover featured stunning illustrations from within the book, creating a seamless connection between the exterior and interior. The title was intentionally kept small and minimal to allow the bold imagery to take center stage. Most of the spreads were specially commissioned, providing readers with a fresh, exciting way to explore and discover the world in unexpected and dynamic ways. The book went on to reach number 5 on the New York Times Best Sellers list.

BOOKFAIR PRESENTATION
These two spreads, developed for the Bologna Book Fair, were pivotal in securing the figures needed to move forward with the book. I conceptualised both layouts and commissioned Mr Bingo for The One Dollar Bill and Craig Conlan for Paris Underground.
This project was a highly successful collaboration between the illustrators, editorial team, and myself, creating a vibrant team that brought the concept to life.
